Bob Boly of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on November 6th, 2020 at Barnes Jewish extended care after a brief illness.

Bob graduated Murphysboro High School and attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and Edwardsville, Illinois.  He earned his degree in Engineering.

Bob worked at Oats and Associates in Collinsville, Illinois and MSD in St. Louis, Missouri.  Bob retired but continued to work at Busch Stadium, St. Louis Zoo and Science Center.

Bob enjoyed working out at the gym, playing tennis, watching Cardinals baseball, hiking around the world, and walking his dog “Lily”.

Bob is survived by his sister Terry Middendorf of Murphysboro, Illinois, brother and sister in law Mike (Annette) Boly of New Albany, Indiana, and sister and brother in law Carolyn (Joe) Harmon of Herrin, Illinois.

Bob is also survived by nieces and nephews, Brent (Jess) Middendorf, Staci Middendorf, Luke Boly, Franny Boly, T.J. Boly, Emma (Calvin) Cooper, Thomas Boly, Jeanne (Robbie) Schneider and Jodi Harmon, Devin Eovaldi (grandnephew), Sadie and Maebrie Middendorf (grandnieces).

He was preceded in death by his parents and an older brother.

The family would like to thank so many friends and co-workers for the cards, visits, flowers, cookies, and Dr. Pepper.  Bob enjoyed the visits and especially the sweet treats.

A special thank you to Angus from Hospice for her kindness and special care she gave to Bob.

A heartfelt gratitude to the best neighbors Bob could ever ask for.  Sherry (the Mayor) and Patrick, Kathy and Gary, Roxanne and Charles, Allison, Bryon, and Caroline, Andrew, and Ejda and Justin for adopting Lily.  Friendships have been made that will last a lifetime.
