David Allen Chance Monday, June 9th, 2025 passed away peacefully at his daughter’s home in Crystal City, MO with his daughters by his side along with his closest friends and family.

Dear Dad of Tracy McDonald of Ste. Genevieve, Mo, Dear Dad of Tonya Fallert of Crystal City, MO and Amy (Mark) Fasnut of Festus, MO.  Paw Paw of Waylon Bieser, Caleb Walsh, Spencer Hall, Ryker Hall, and Elliana Fasnut.  Special dear life long friends of Denny and Carolyn Pruneau and Billy Pruneau.

Dear son of the late Frances (Kirkley) and George Chance, Jr.  Dear brother of George (Diane) Chance III and Frank (Kay) Chance.  Special nephew to Ben Chance and other numerous nieces and nephews.

After graduating Herculaneum High School, David served in the US Navy as a boiler technician and foreman apprentice.  After David’s time in the US Navy, he worked at River Cement for 13 years, then went to Chrysler and then ultimately retired.

David will always be remembered as kind, gentle, warm soul.  He never met a stranger and never judge a book by its cover.  He was most known for his ability to have a positive outlook on any situation.  His smile and laughter will be remembered by all who know and loved him.

David enjoyed community service, working at the food pantry, feeding homeless, fishing, trapping, gardening, and widdling with wood.

CELBRATION OF LIFE:  Friday, July 11, 2025 at Michel Funeral Home 5930 Southwest Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63139 from 6-8 p.m.

Bikes to ride his remains back to Jefferson County after service. Thanks to everyone !!! Let’s gather food and make some noise on bikes for David.

In lieu of flowers David asked to bring can goods for Veterans Food Pantry.
