BAUMGARTNER, DIANE M. (NEE NIGGEMANN)
Passed away peacefully at home at the age of 88 on Saturday March 28,2026.
She was born on November 24 1937 to the late August F. and Mildred C. Niggemann (nee Good).
She was joined in Holy matrimony on June 18,1955 to her late husband Sylvester E. Baumgartner.
She was a devoted mother of Gloria J. Baumgartner aka” Doe-Doe”,
William F. (Deborah) Baumgartner, the late Nancy C. (Rick) LaCuesta (nee
Baumgartner), Sylvester G. (Lunette)Baumgartner and Patricia A. Digar ” Single and loving it” (Nee Baumgartner).
She was a cherished grandmother and great grandmother, dear sister and friend to all.
Diane had committed her life to her family and friends through text, visits and numerous phone calls. She did have one daily special call, it was to her younger sister Carol Essary, whom she dearly loved and cared for immensely.
She had been an avid crocheter since a young age, by making numerous blankets, Christmas stockings, angels and too many other items to mention. She donated her time and talents too so many charities, Back@you, Nurses for Newborns, Stiches for life, H.E.R.O.S. Care a charity for veterans and for the homeless and so many other important organizations.
On Monday and Friday nights she could be found watching her favorite wrestlers “It was something we knew not to interrupt”. She also had her favorite week day soap opera The Bold and The Beautiful which she began watching in the late 80’s.
She was a devoted fan of the Cardinals; she always had the game on when available.

Knowing Diane since I was 2 makes losing her hard to believe. She’s one of the people you never think will leave.
Thank you for always being our taxi to where we needed to go, school, dance class, brownies just anywhere. It was always you.
I will miss you and love you forever mom. ❤️
