Dianne Frances Deachan passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024.  She was born September 8, 1946 in St. Louis, MO to Frank and Blanche Deachan.

Dianne left St. Louis to attend New York University as an undergraduate and loved New York City so much that she lived there for the following 50 years, until finally leaving the city to be near her daughters and grandchildren in the surrounding suburbs.  After earning a PhD in psychology from Adelphi University, she started a private psychology practice and spent her career counseling patients of all ages.  When she left the city for Port Chester, NY she joined St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Greenwich, CT, where she was a very active member.  She taught Sunday school and led a bereavement support group for those coping with the loss of loved ones, and she never missed an opportunity to bring her beloved English Cocker Spaniel, Peyton, to be blessed on St. Francis’ day.

Dianne was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend.  She was also extremely talented baker.  She loved to bake for birthdays, holidays, and every time she found a new recipe in one of her many cookbooks.  Most of all, she loved to bake with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (David) Emmets and Susan (Barry) Gardner, her five grandchildren, her dog Peyton and her former husband and lifelong friend, Jack Fuchs.

A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Greenwich, CT.

Interment:  Thursday October 17th at 12:00 p.m.at Highland Prairie Cemetery, Old Monroe, Mo.
