
Freddie Wayne Stewart – 74 years young – Hillsboro, MO
Freddie Wayne Stewart, age 74, passed away on February 14, 2026, at his home.
Fred retired from ownership of Xyquad Inc (voted into the Inc 500 for several years).
One of his biggest hobbies was the building and operation of small experimental helicopters (Mid-America Helicopter). He formed many friendships including the late Alan Barklage. Fred went on to form Phat Freddies Custom Motorcycles. He had the opportunity to travel to a lot of the Easy Rider shows with the motorcycles that he built.
He was able to meet a lot of the big bike builders like Indian Larry, Paul Cox, Hank Young, and many others. So many more friendships were formed.
Fred was born 12-10-51. He was the son of the late Vernon and Ruth S. (Erwin) Stewart. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Joan E (Carreiro) Stewart to whom he met and married while in the US Marines, son Jeffrey C Stewart, daughter Nicole C Stewart, and son in law Kerby Vulgamott. Grandchildren Jacob C & Kaitlyn (Casey) Stewart, Grace Vulgamott, and Addison Vulgamott. Great Granddaughter Josephine M
Stewart and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Brother Jerry L & Bonnie (Loveless) Stewart. He is preceded in death by sister Faye Y Froelich & two nephews Bill & Kenny Froelich.
Fred has left some very large footprints here on this earth and he will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is in the hands of God watching over all of us.
A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
