Born 09-27-1926 in Dongola, Illinois to the late Minnie Mae Aden & Walter Bunch.
Loving mother of Bobby Joe Thomas, Karen Faye Thomas-Little (Arthur D. Little), Donald Ray Thomas (Gail), John Gordon Thomas Jr (Joann), Chester Leroy Thomas (Theresa), Gladys Marie Jauernig (James), James Matthew Thomas (Bonnie), Dorothy Mae Bradshaw (Michael). Dear mother-in-law to Brenda Thomas.
Beloved grandmother of 28 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Dear aunt and great aunt.
Beloved sister of Albert Burrow, Maudina Wooten, Virgina Mae Condra, George Burrow.
Gladys is preceded in death by her husband John Gordon Thomas whom she married May 14, 1949 in Bollinger; daughter Anna Cherokee Borden, son Ronald Eugene Thomas, brother-in-law Ed Wooten, sister Virginia, brother George, grandchildren Mariah Rose, Ryan Matthew, Danny Ward and Christopher McIntyre.
SERVICES: Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Michel Funeral Home 5930 Southwest Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63139 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
