It is with great sorrow we announce Jacob “Kidd” Joseph Austin, 24, suffered a severe asthma attack on January 25, 2020 that unfortunately deprived his brain of oxygen for too long.
Jacob passed on January 31, 2020 after he was a savior. We couldn’t save Jacob, but he saved others. He gave the gift of life. We donated Jacob’s organs.
Jacob is the son of Pamela (Counts) and Jackie Austin. He is the youngest of six siblings. Jacob leaves behind three sisters; Christina Austin, April (Lana) Rivera, and Kelley Austin, one brother, Glenn (Amanda) Austin, 4 nieces, 11 nephews, many other family members, and many friends who he considered his family.
Jacob was welcomed into Heaven by his sister, Teresa (Austin) Ertrachter, his baby niece, Zoey, his favorite Aunt Nancy, and many other loved ones we’ve lost.
He loved shooting pool and playing in tournaments. Many of the tournaments he played in, he placed or won. Jacob had a heart of gold. He would do whatever he could if you needed him. Even if there was a falling out, he was still there to help.
How lucky are we to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.
SERVICES: Sunday, February 9, 2020 from 2-6 p.m. with a service at 4pm at Michel Funeral Home 5930 Southwest Avenue St. Louis, MO 63139.
Celebration of Life at 7pm will be at Lehmann’s Landing
12314 Natural Bridge Rd., Bridgeton, MO 63044.

My thoughts and prayers are with Jacobs family. I’m going to miss Jacob dearly . I shall always hold tight the memories I have of him. Memories that always bring a smile to my face and a comfort to my heart.
We had some good fun times . I will never forget Jacob nor the ability he had to bring light and fun to many people who were in need of just that. Thank you Jacob for being there for me at times when I felt so alone . You were one of a kind and you will never be forgotten. ~ Love Annie
