James M. Egler passed away peacefully May 11, 2025. He was born December 16, 1952 to the late Jacob M. Egler and Santa T. (Gianino) Egler.
He is survived by his children: Michelle (Doug) McIntosh, Stephen Eddington, Jason Egler, Bryan (Elizabeth) Egler and Erik (Jennie) Egler. Grandchildren Savannah (Brendan), Antonio, Shawn, Dallas, Jonathan, Nathan, Oliver, Henry, Bernadette, Logan and Lilly. Two great grandchildren Brantley and Alina. A sister Elizabeth, nephew Paul (Jennifer, two nieces, Kelly (Mark) and Jessica (Mark), 3 great nieces Ava, Lizzie, Katie and 3 great nephews, Jacob, Nicholas and Matthew. He is also survived by his special friend Madonna and close friend Sharon.
He dedicated over 40yrs to caring for others as a Registered Nurse.
VISITATION: Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Michel Funeral Home 5930 Southwest Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63139 from 4-7 p.m. with services beginning at 7 p.m. from the Nurse Honor Guard.

I worked with Jim at St. Anthony’s hospital for several years as we were both RN’s. Lost track of him about 20 tears ago. Rest in Peace Jim
He was truly a great nurse and dad.
I was a classmate of Jim’s at St. Mary’s (South Side Catholic) High School. I remember him being a man of integrity. My condolences to the family. May the Perpetual Light shine upon him.
