Hochman, Joan; Age 94 years old born in St. Louis MO passed away on July 8. 2026. Loving wife of Bernard Hochman, loving daughter of Iris and Dr. Milton Meyerhardt. Loving Sister of Maxine Meyerhardt (late Robert), Steven Meyerhardt (Julie), and the late Richard Meyerhardt (Micki). Loving Mother of Debra (James) Nuell-Reid Morlan, Gary Nuell, the late Richard Nuell. Loving Stepmother of Janet (Chris) Ness, Jeffrey (late Susie) Hochman and Jere (Josette) Hochman. Grandmother of Danielle, Maryellen, Alex, Benjamin (Angela) Emily (Justin), Jessica, Jules (Erica). Great Grandmother of Christa, Jacob, Giovanni, Olsen, Beckham, Mirabelle, Ella, Hadley, Evy and Brooks. Loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Joanie loved entertaining family and friends and welcomed all to her table. Everyone remembers being at a Sunday dinner or a holiday celebration with Joanie. Joan and Bernie were avid golfers at AAA (Highlands) Golf Course in Forest Park. She worked at high-end clothing stores until fully retiring at 88 ½ years of age. She had a loyal following of customers who appreciated her keen sense of fashion. She loved gardening and music. She had a beautiful voice and would be asked to sing at gatherings with friends and family. She enjoyed playing bridge and taking her bridge classes. Most importantly, Joanie enjoyed being with her loved ones. She was the most thoughtful and generous person who will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday July 14, 2026 from 1:00 to 3:00 at the Affton Community Center, 9801 MacKenzie Road, St Louis, MO 63123.
