Joseph Charles Caution
May 8, 1971 – April 5, 2025
Joe passed from this life on Saturday, April 5, 2025.  He was surrounded by loved ones, after fighting debilitating illnesses over the last several years.
Joe is survived by his mother Cynthia Costa.  His dear dad Walter Caution passed when Joe was 21.   He is also survived by his daughter Jolie (Julie Allen).  Joe’s sibling situation is as unique as he…Wally Caution (Deceased)  and Christopher Caution.  And those he grew up with, Jeff, Mark, Michael (Jill) and Kelly (Craig). And Johnny Wicker, brother from another mother.   They were a tribe and Joe would agree FAFO.
Joe’s passion as a pre-teen and teen was boxing.  His father was a boxer, so it was in his DNA.  He went by the name “Kid Caution” and competed at the Golden Glove level.  His record has been lost but suffice to say — he won more than he lost.  It has been said, “in a bar fight, you want Joe having your back.”  And he always did.
In January 2010, Joe became a father.  His beloved Jolie Caution was immediately the love and light of his life.  She has grown into a beautiful young woman and possesses his looks, intelligence and wicked sense of humor.
Joe spent his adult years as a salesman.  You name it, he could sell it.  It has been said that he could sell ketchup (his fave) and popsicles to people wearing white shirts.  He especially loved buying and sell baseball cards.  He loved the St, Louis Cardinals in a real and deep way.
To say Joe was one-of a-kind would be an understatement.  He did not know a stranger and did not suffer fools gladly.  He exuded charisma, charm and a warm smile…and best to stay on his good side. Joe had a soft spot for the handicapped and those in need…it would be just like him to give his last few dollars to the vet on the corner asking for help.
.
Hey Joe, Big Joe, Jojo…it is expected your turnout will be a tribute from all those that loved you.  You mother, daughter, friends and family ….your sibs, want you to know you are loved and your absence leaves a hole in their souls.
