Marian Hixson, nee Hemmen passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 of Covid complications.  She was born September 14, 1931 in St. Louis to George C and Johanna Hemmen.

Marian married Robert N. Hixson September 6, 1952.  She was passionate about her career, teaching second graders at St. Sabina Catholic School in Florissant, MO for 25 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Paul Hemmen, and by her beloved husband Robert.

Marian will be dearly missed by her children:  Robert (Michelle) Hixson, Green Bay, WI,   Richard (Elaine) Hixson, Sandy, UT,  Cynthia (James) Baize, Peachtree City, GA,   William (Lisa) Hixson, Germantown,  MD,    Charles (Susan) Hixson  Southlake, TX,  Daughter in Law Deborah Hixson.

She is survived by her Grandchildren: Stephanie Hendricks, Jon Baize, Lauren Ross, Josh and Ben Hixson,  Sarah Woessner, Dan Hixson,  Julianne Hughes,   Matt and Cam Hixson,  as well as nine great grandchildren.

Consistent with health guidelines, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by invitation only on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 11:30 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church,  3015 East Creek Road, Cottonwood Heights, UT.    For those wishing to attend in person please contact Nora Kennedy at St. Thomas More parish at 801 942 5285

Marian will be laid to rest with her husband Robert at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.  Graveside service is tentatively scheduled Tuesday December 15 at 12:45 AM.  Additional information to follow as details are available.
