Mary (“Marie”) Burke

Marie Burke (nee Beckmann) passed away on March 16, 2022. She was 83 years old.

Marie was a lifelong St. Louisan–she grew up on The Hill, moved to Dellwood after marriage, and spent her later years in Fenton. She was a lively dancer, enjoyed gardening and reading, and loved to tell stories about the past. She raised a wonderful son and was the proudest mother and grandmother.

Marie leaves behind her partner of more than 30 years, Bob Toretta; her son, Timothy (Lisa) Burke; her grandchildren, Emma, Xander, Penelope, and Amelia Burke; and her brother, Paul (Loretta) Beckmann. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Martin Beckmann and Mary Beckmann (nee Rolfi); her brothers Tom and Louie Beckmann; and her granddaughter Samantha Burke.

VISITATION: Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Michel Funeral Home, 5930 Southwest Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri 63139. No services.
