Michael Joseph Selby of Arnold, Missouri passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, at the age of 74.
Born October 14, 1951 Mike was the son of the late David L. and Patricia F. Selby (Cunningham).
He is survived by his children, Jennifer Selby (Steve Davis, Jr.), and Melissa (Jon) Gebel; grandchildren Brandon Davis, and Avery Gebel; bonus grandchildren Steven, and Lily Davis; sisters Patricia (Tom) Hewitt, Maureen (Donald) Curtis, and Julie Ebrecht, as well as many wonderful nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Carole S. Selby (Stewart). His brothers Jim, Tim, and Danny Selby and all those who have gone before him.
Mike lived a full life through various ventures and passions. From the family tree business (Selby & Sons), delivering bumpers for Keystone, owning and landscaping business, driving his dump truck, building homes, working as as DJ, and owning a bar, he never feared hard work.
Mike had a strong faith and enjoyed fishing at Goose Creek, horse trail rides, music, riding his motorcycle, and more than anything he loved helping others.
His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Their laughter, hugs, and presence brought him immeasurable happiness.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Michel Funeral Home, 5930 Southwest Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63139 on Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 6-8 p.m.

This neighborhood is not going to be the same. Everybody looked up to mike. If you ever needed help with anything, Mike and Carol were there. Miss you ole buddy.
