Joe Clark, aged 88, passed away October 19th, 2022. Born on January 18th, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri, Joe dropped out of school after the 8th grade to assist the family in farm work. Eventually earning his GED, Joe served with the United States Air force during the Korean war as an airplane crash rescue firefighter.

He married his bride of 55 years. Effie, in 1967. He spent many happy years serving as a deacon in his local church and always with a quick word to share about Jesus, whom he loved. The family settled in south St. Louis in 1968 where Joe and Effie raised their family and resided until his passing.

Joe is survived by his wife, Effie, his daughter Joann and her fiancé Julian (a second son to Joe), his son Jonathan and his wife Patty, and his three grandchildren, Anna, Isaiah, and Ezekiel. Preceded in death by his grandson Barak.

VISITATION:  Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Michel Funeral Home 5930 Southwest Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63139 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 12:00 p.m.

INTERMENT:  Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.  Joe will receive full military honors.
