Peggy Elaine Moore born 12/08/1946 lived a full and passionate life for 79 years. She crossed the threshold from this life to eternity on 4/14/2026 and went on ahead of us to be with the love of her life Jesus Christ. (Have you ever heard my mom say, “I’m so ready to be with the Lord”…..Yeah, me too.)

My mom was a fighter her whole life. She had heart disease and then diabetes and then stage four metastatic breast cancer, and it had gone through her whole body, her bones, her blood, and through it all she just trusted the Lord and finished strong.

She was born and raised in Saint Louis. She was the last of 8 siblings to cross over. Born to Wesley Harness and Pearl Curtis December 8, 1946. Preceded in death by her husband Douglas Moore, parents and siblings, Lacey Ray Harness, Kenny Harness, Helen Plake, Joan Harness, June , Diane Baird and Donald (Butch) Harness. Her daughter Sharon Bruno awaited her coming in the other side as well as grandson Christian Cooksey-Moore.
She is survived by her children Lisa Davidson, Scott Sonntag and Doug Moore; her grandchildren Stacy Burch, Christine Nahlik, Jessi Davidson, Shayla Pinchininch, Nathan Sonntag, Shawna Sonntag, Carissa Sonntag, Gabriella Breeding, Lyric Moore, Charlie Bruno, Kaila Bruno and Jennifer Bruno. Great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews she adored and a bouquet of friends she spent her life moments with.

She will be remembered for her brilliant smile and warmth by most. Her tenacity and ability to over come any and every obstacle with a fierce love for God and faith to believe He truly has everything she needs by those who knew her deeply.
She loved the word of God. She was a disciple of the Chosen which gave her an image of Jesus she related to and spiritual transformation and clarity on His love for her. She lived in it. Everyone who met her this past decade saw her as kind, sweet, encouraging, leader and Bible teacher , lover of God. Those of us who have been around a little longer know the struggles she faced and the temper she had. She never liked to talk about the hard places in a co structure way, she was almost embarrassed by them. She talked to God in private about them and yielded herself over and over to Hid Will and His word until she reached the stage where His glory shined upon her and through her. She made it- she became what she always wanted to be- a great mom, an incredible friend and a dynamic worshipper of God. (I will miss her “wooooo” in worship service.)
You’ve left a legacy of influence here mom, children and grandchildren who love you and love the Lord. We miss your presence but rest in knowing that you are in His presence. See you on the other side…..
