Richard Allen Blake (60) passed away on June 29, 2022.
Richard was born in St. Louis Missouri at St Louis Maternity Hospital. He is survived by his parents Vernon and Eliveria Blake, and his son and daughter-in-law Kyle and Tiffany Blake. He had two grandchildren, Samantha and Mason.
Richard was the 5th out of 7 children. He leaves behind his 3 sisters and 3 brothers: Margaret, Marisol, Danna, Vernon, Jimmy, and Joe. He was uncle to Eddie, Haley, Mike, Erin, Briar, Kayla, Chris, and Jessica.
Though born in St. Louis, Richard was raised in the Canal Zone, Republic of Panama. He loved Panamanian cooking prepared by his mother whom he called Mama Cita.  At the age of 14 he returned to St. Louis with his family. As a teen he loved playing baseball and football. His love for these sports continued into adulthood, and he enjoyed watching the games with friends and family. Richard joined the Navy and served in their branch. After serving his term he was employed by the USPS. Richard was a good friend to everyone that knew him. He was a good hearted man who loved his family and his Panamanian heritage.

Memorial Mass will be Tuesday, July 26 at 10:00amat St James the Greater at 6401 Wade Ave. Visitation is from 9am to 10am for family and friends.
Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors.
