In Loving Memory of Rollo Townsley
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rollo Townsley, a devoted family man, hard worker, and friend to all that knew him. Rollo passed away on April 13th at the age of 69,
leaving behind a legacy of humility, kindness, and dedication.
For over 30 years, Rollo worked diligently as a laborer out of Local Union 110 primarily with Alberici Construction, providing steadfast support for his family. Despite his friendly and
outgoing nature, he was a humble man who preferred to keep to himself, focusing on his loved ones and the values he held dear. When he wasn’t out on a job site, you could find him working
in the yard or in the house. He was the consummate worker in every sense of the word. In his downtime, he’d always seek the opportunity to lend a hand to a friend or a neighbor in need and
participated in volunteering at the Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church. His quiet generosity and selfless spirit touched the lives of many who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 32 years, Sandra Townsley, whose memory he carried close to his heart. Together, they built a life filled with love, devotion, and shared purpose.
Rollo is survived by his second love, Virginia Humphreys, with whom he built a happy and harmonious life over the last 17 years, as well as his cherished son, Jonathan Townsley and
daughter-in-law, Zoya Filippova.
He enjoyed being around his many grandchildren even though they lived in various parts of the country. Ivan and Nikolai Townsley, Allison and Anna Dilallo,
Leo, Eleanor, and Isabelle Humphreys, will all continue to honor his legacy by living the values he exemplified. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of
knowing him.

Johnathan, on behalf of the SMOS Class of ’63, we extend our most heartfelt condolences to you, your family and to all of your father’s friends during this difficult time. Your mother, Sandy, was a cherished classmate and friend of ours, who’s memory we hold close in our hearts. And it was she who introduced us to your father.
Memories of your father abound too. We remember him as being warm, friendly and likeable. Your mother and he truly complemented one another, bringing out the best in each other. Their harmony shines through in your personality. They did good for you, and you by them.

Rollo, was always Junior to us. When I came back from Belgrade, Helen, Junior, Jimmy and sometimes Sandy and Jonathan were always at our house. One day, Helen’s sister, Zagora, invited us to be her guests at her Cafe on 6th Street. I mention that day because Junior was the star of the show. .maybe he felt like the host, but he made us all laugh. I wish I could remember what he said or did. I only remember that he was happier than I had ever seen him. He created the laughter.
With sadness for the loss of your father, father-in-law and grandfather, Rick and I lift you, Zoya and the boys up in our prayers. May you find peace and strength in the sweetest memories of the man he was and times of joy spent together.
My heart goes out to Ginny, Johnathan and all who were close to Rollo. After Ginny and Rollo retired in Florida we became close to Rollo. Together we experienced many wonders of living in Florida. We were always there for each when in need. May his soul rest in peace.
My deepest condolences to the entire family on the passing of Rollo (Junior).. He will be missed.
