Thomas (Thom) Moore Lakey passed away suddenly November 22, 2025 when a vehicle struck him while cycling on Manchester Ave. near Tamm Ave. Born January 9, 1968 to the late Frank Lakey and the late Claire (nee Schneider) Lakey.
Thom was a loving father of Leah Lakey and Stephany (Greg Ampadu) Lakey. He was the eighth in a family of ten children. He is survived by siblings Maria (Jeff) Childress, Tim (Christine) Lakey, Nick (Mary) Lakey, Martha (Tom) Roulston, Joe (Ellen Schneider) Lakey, John (Ann) Lakey, Peter (Julie) Lakey, Sarah (Phillip Page) Lakey, Meaghan Lakey, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Beyond his family, Thom leaves behind countless friends who cherished his kindness and gentle spirit.
A gifted musician, Thom shared his talent throughout St. Louis-playing, performing and listening to the music he loved. His positive spirit was felt within every space he entered. Our hearts are broken and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
VISITATION: Monday, December 29, 2025 at Michel Funeral Home 5930 Southwest Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63139 from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
