Van Sauer passed away suddenly July 1, 2020. Born March 10, 1955 to the late Harold Sauer and Mary (nee Marko) Sauer.
Loving brother of Hank (Barb) Sauer, Joe Sauer, James Sauer, and Janet (Bruce) Williams. Dear uncle and great uncle. Beloved cousin. Special friends to Billy Foster and Kathy Kuper-Foster. Loving dad to his dog Argus.
VISITATION: Monday, July 6, 2020 at Michel Funeral Home 5930 Southwest Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63139 from 4-8 p.m.
Interment private.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Humane Society of St. Louis.

What a wonderful person I was so lucky to met all those years ago. I was proud to call him friend and family. I have many great memories I will carry with me. Heaven gained an angel and I feel lucky to have known him and I know he will continue to watch out for me. Rest in peace my friend. I will miss you but know you are in a better place.

Van was a good friend from work who always told me he’d never retire. I’ll miss him a lot.
So sorry to here that he passed away. I know he was looking forward to retirement. He was a special friend to my Dad Ron Tullock. They were great friends till my Dad passed away. I’m so sad that I missed he is funeral.
So sorry to hear of his passing. Van was like a work dad to me. Taught me life lessons and great worth ethics. I’ll always remember you van.
