Corey E. Blessing, 31, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away unexpectedly on January 27, 2023. He was born on January 4, 1992 in St. Louis, Missouri to his surviving parents, Dorothy and Edward G. Blessing.
Corey was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He is survived by his son, Ryder Blessing, Ryder’s mother and Corey’s forever love, Kayona Hammonds and her two beautiful daughters, Kaylee and Kyrah. He is also survived by his brother Edward N. Blessing (Andrea); his sister Katelyn M. Blessing; nephews Dylan E. & Jameson N. Blessing and his niece Lyla A. Blessing. He is also survived by several Blessing aunts & uncles, including Carol Liermann, Alfred Blessing, Margaret Mary Maltby, Kathleen Blessing & Michael Blessing (Cindy). From his mother’s Petit side, he is survived by Deborah Petit, Patricia Burton (Steve), Barbara “Sue” Taber (Doug), & Kenneth Petit. As well as several loving cousins and friends.
Corey is preceded in death by his grandparents, Margaret & Clarence Blessing and Kenneth & Pauline Petit; aunt & uncles, Clarence “Sonny” Blessing, David Blessing & Angela Petit.
Corey was a beautiful soul who had a positive impact on many people during his lifetime. Corey always knew how to brighten up a room and never failed to make those around him laugh. He had an infectious, exuberant personality and he always knew how to bring a smile to our faces. Whether it was teasing his siblings, playing with his kids, messing with his friends, or annoying his parents, Corey was a shining light in our lives who had a deep love for those around him. He will continue to stay with us all through our memories of him.

I worked with Corey for a short time you seem like a really cool guy upbeat high on life no just a wonderful person. So I get my condolences to his family friends And I’m sorry for your loss.
I met Corey through Demetrius and he instantly became my nephew always there when I needed him. He had a beautiful soul and spirit as well as smile. He was funny loving and very kind to me and all around him. He will truly be missed!
Corey was a coworker at Cardinal Glennon. His personality and kindness made him a very special person. I certainly enjoy working with him and he was so well liked by the staff and customers he served at Glennon. My thoughts and prayers go out to Corey and his family. May he rest peacefully until you meet again.
