John J. Dunn, Jr. passed in peace on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the age of 90.
John was born on September 24, 1930 in St. Louis, MO to John and Verna Dunn. He loved his family, his Irish heritage, and his life. He was the sole proprietor of the world-famous Dunn’s Place.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline and 2 sisters, Margaret Franken and Loretta Mason. He was the loving father of Kathleen (Barry) Meyer, John III (Ellen), Mary (Kevin) Lohrum and Patricia (Kenny) Keegan. Proud grandfather to Christopher, John, Jack, Lucie, Nick, Cassie, Carl, Jennifer, Lanny and 10 great grandchildren. Brother to Vernon (Beverly) and C. Frances “Fran” Emerson.
We will miss his quick wit, his singing, his cheerful attitude but most of all his uncanny ability to personalize every greeting card he had ever given.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life mass and gathering on Friday, August 27 at 4:30 p.m. at Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church 6596 Smiley Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63139.
