Ruth Elaine Puricelli (nee Johnstone) passed away February 6, 2024, at the age of 85. Ruth was born June 14, 1938, in Cincinnati Ohio to the late Harold Johnstone and Ruth (Weaver) Johnstone.
Beloved wife to Joseph Puricelli for 65 years.
Mother of Joe (Cheri) Puricelli, Debbie (late Bob) Moellinger, John (Holly) Puricelli, Bill (Ronnie) Puricelli, Sue (Guy) Giudici, and Dan (Amy) Puricelli.
Grandmother to Abbi (Matt) Hodge, Emily Puricelli, Mitch (Nikki) Martin, Sam (Spencer Harrison) Moellinger, Jessie Moellinger, Courtney (Cameron) James, Carleigh (Landon Muecke) Puricelli, Josh (Carey) Puricelli, Justin Wohlert, Chris Puricelli, Christina Giudici, Luke Puricelli, and Leo Puricelli.
Great grandmother to Wyatt, Emmett, Oliver, Natalie, Maddie, Charlotte, Nolen, Jordyn, Carter, and Zaylin.
Loving sister to the late Helen (late Ben) Cerimele, Harold (late Carol) Johnstone, Bill (Stephanie) Johnstone, Ed (Mary) Johnstone, the late Tom (Pat) Johnstone, Patsy (Louie) Cordova, and Scott (Mary) Johnstone.
Sister-in-law to the late Jake and Carm Puricelli, and the late John and Betty Puricelli.
Loving aunt, cousin, neighbor, and friend to many.
Ruth generously donated her body to Saint Louis University Medical School.
Memorial mass will be held at St. Ambrose Church 5130 Wilson Avenue St. Louis, Mo 63110 on May 17, 2024. Visit with family from 9:00-10:00 am and Mass begins at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers please donate to St. Ambrose Forever (www.stambroseforever.com) or to Shriners Hospital for Children. Envelopes will be available at the memorial.
