Susan C. (Abeyta) Self passed away suddenly January 2, 2024 after a brief stay in the hospital. Susan was born December 1, 1946 to the late Doroteo Abeyta and the late Cleofas (Trujillo) Abeyta.
Susan leaves behind many who love her and will greatly miss her as she was the devoted wife of Donald L. Self, loving mother of Gary Morton (wife, Nancy) of Columbia, Philip (Flip) Morton (partner, Karen Kruse) of St. Louis and Emily R. Joseph (husband, David) of Seminole, Florida and dear grandmother of Tyler, Sam, Elissa, Gabe, Eila, Liam and Isaiah.
Susan will be missed by her loving dog Cha-Cha.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents, her seven siblings and daughter Elissa Suzanne Self who will be 11 forever.
VISITATION: Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Michel Funeral Home 5930 Southwest Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63139 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Even though I hadn’t talked to my forever “mother-in-law” (PaPa Sue), for quite a while, I never stopped loving her. She was the best Grandma to her Grandson’s, Tyler and Sam. They loved her so much. She will be greatly missed by all of us. We love you PaPa Sue. Prayers for peace and healing PaPa Don, Flipper, Gary, and Emily. We love you!
